Initial data pull: We query the Google Places API to confirm a business exists, is actively listed, and matches the salvage or discount grocery category.
Rating aggregation: We pull customer ratings and review counts so you can see at a glance how a store is regarded by the people who actually shop there.
Regular updates: Business information changes. Stores move, close, or update their hours. We run regular refresh cycles to catch these changes and keep our listings current.

We won't pretend the data is perfect — no directory is. But we work hard to catch errors quickly, and we always welcome corrections from users who spot something that's out of date.
