Editor's Review
Surplus Outlet in Montgomery, Pennsylvania, stands out as a favorite for savvy shoppers looking to snag incredible deals on overstock items. Customers rave about the prices, often noting they can score groceries for a fraction of the typical cost. For instance, Adelaide Miller shared her excitement with, 'I got multiple full bags of groceries for only $15!' That kind of value is hard to beat, especially for college students or families on a tight budget.
However, it's essential to understand what you're getting into. Betsy Taube cautions shoppers to 'check expiration dates,' which is a good reminder that some items may be closer to their sell-by dates. While the store provides some fantastic finds, Michelle Sink-Davis pointed out that stock can be inconsistent, saying, 'It just depends since their stock is not always the same items.'
Overall, Surplus Outlet is like a treasure hunt; you have to be willing to sift through the aisles to find those hidden gems. The reviews consistently highlight the variety of products, from unique sauces to snacks that aren’t found in typical grocery stores, making each visit feel like a new adventure.

Great prices on overstock, buy-today-gone-tomorrow items. Check expiration dates. Selection of some everyday staples (i.e. mayonnaise) can be limited, and some prices are higher than elsewhere. Produce is nice.

My husband loves this place. To me, it's okay. Some times you can get a really good deal. It just depends since their stock is not always the same items.
This place has really good prices for almost more than 50% of regular prices. I buy all my kods snacks from here since they are so cheap. They have items that I wouldn't see in local grocery store
It use to be reasonable but today was the first I've been there in maybe 6 or 7 months and prices are much higher actually a few things are higher than the grocery store
