Editor's Review
Savers Cost Plus Supermarket in Irving, Texas, has garnered a solid reputation with an overall rating of 4.0 out of 5 across nearly 2,400 reviews. What stands out about this store is its impressive selection of authentic Hispanic products and freshly made foods. David Hart, a local customer, raves about their homemade tortillas, specifically the corn and nopal cactus varieties, calling them 'more flexible and softer' than most. This supermarket not only serves as a grocery resource but also as a culinary hub, featuring a kitchen that offers a variety of Latin American dishes like tacos and tamales, something that Gerardo Guerra appreciates wholeheartedly.
However, not everything is perfect. Some reviewers express frustration over operational aspects. For example, one customer, Lucero Ontiveros, shared a disappointing experience regarding the service at 'La Amistad Cocina', mentioning an interaction with staff that left her feeling undervalued. Additionally, Omar Fernandez raised concerns about the 18% surcharge, which he felt compounded the tax too heavily on purchases, adding cost where it wasn't necessary.
Despite these issues, the store's strengths clearly shine through its product offerings and the helpfulness of the staff. Many customers appreciate the wide variety of items and the affordability, which is supported by the cost-plus pricing model that encourages bulk buying. Customers have made it clear that Savers Cost Plus Supermarket is a go-to destination for fresh, quality ingredients and authentic Hispanic food.
