Editor's Review
Finding a grocery store that balances quality, price, and a little bit of flair can be a challenge, especially in a bustling city like Denver. Save A Lot y Mas pops up on many locals' radars, and for good reason. It’s a family-owned spot that has been around since 1992, and their commitment to serving the community shines through.
Feedback from customers reveals an interesting mix. On one hand, Jerry Diggins raved, "Wow, just wow. The transformation that this store has done. Fresh produce, meat, omg the bakery to die for." Clearly, many shoppers appreciate the selection and quality of what’s on offer. The store accepts EBT/SNAP, making it accessible for families needing assistance. However, it’s not without its quirks. Some customers have pointed out issues with cleanliness and organization. Sonia Orellana Loustalet reported that it was "really stinky" in the meat area, and trash was prevalent on the floors.
While the bakery and the fresh produce make it a tempting shopping destination, some shoppers, like Irene Gonzales, found themselves frustrated with customer service issues. She noted a lengthy refund process after being overcharged, which dampened her experience. Overall, this store seems to work well for those seeking a decent, well-stocked grocery store, particularly for fans of Mexican ingredients and baked goods, but it may need to address certain cleanliness and customer service hiccups to truly shine.

Koo spot. Well stocked. Polite employees. Security guard inside. The meat 🍖 selection was a little smaller than other locations that I have frequented. I’d do it again. So check em out if you’re ever in the neighborhood and Holla at a Playa. 👌🏾
Beware The normal masa for tamales has no flavor. I bought 2 different times this week expecting different results. The sweet masa was good. But good grocery store for all the veggies and Mexican cravings.
Wow, just wow. The transformation that this store has done. Fresh produce, meat, omg the bakery to die for. Super great value, your one-stop store for all your grocery needs. I would recommend store highly.
