Editor's Review
Grocery Outlet in Orange, CA, has carved out a unique niche in the grocery market, delighting customers with its impressive selection and prices. With an overall rating of 4.4 out of 5 from nearly 900 reviews, it’s clear this family-owned store has made a significant impact since opening in 1992. Shoppers rave about the great deals and the constantly changing inventory, which brings them back every week. As Nathan, one enthusiastic customer, shared, 'It was amazing by the great prices and great selection on nearly everything.'
Another aspect that stands out is the store’s friendly atmosphere. Kathy, a cashier noted in multiple reviews, has become a standout figure among shoppers, with one customer calling her a 'rockstar.' Her positive attitude seems to enhance the shopping experience, making people feel welcomed and appreciated. Additionally, many reviewers point out that the store is an excellent option for organic produce and closeout deals, offering products that might not be found in traditional grocery chains.
However, it’s not all positive feedback. A recurring complaint is that Grocery Outlet doesn’t accept WIC, which is a disappointment for some families relying on that support. As Jenny Soria pointed out, 'They take EBT but not WIC sadly and don’t specify until you’re at the register.' This lack of transparency at checkout can be frustrating for customers who expect to use their benefits. Overall, while the store clearly excels in providing affordable options and a friendly shopping environment, potential customers should be aware of some limitations regarding payment options.
