Editor's Review
Call's Shop'n Save in Cornish, Maine, has garnered a mixed reputation among its patrons. With an overall rating of 4.2/5 based on 400 reviews, the data tells a different story than what one might expect from a local grocery store. While many customers appreciate the store's competitive prices on products like heating wood pellets and a solid selection of liquor, others recount frustrating experiences. For instance, Tamela Pellerin shared her disappointment, stating, 'I felt that customer service was extremely rude; I will not be going back there again.' This sentiment resonates with some shoppers who have noted issues with staff behavior and product availability.
The store’s small size and the presence of younger employees have led to mixed reviews about service quality. Daniel Call highlighted the friendliness of the staff, mentioning, 'There are a lot of kids working here, making it easy to get help finding things.' However, contrasting experiences persist. Tracey TinyHouse Elohi noted, 'the check out people were pretty rude and didn't acknowledge me or even say hi.' Cleanliness also appears to be a recurring concern, with Haylee Bradford expressing her shock over the dirty conditions, specifically pointing out, 'the store is so dirty, the ceilings in some places seriously look like they are rotting.'
Despite these issues, Call's Shop'n Save remains a go-to option for many due to its low prices and diverse inventory, particularly in liquor and groceries. The store's inconsistencies in service quality and cleanliness present challenges but also opportunities for improvement.
