Editor's Review
The Salvation Army Family Store & Donation Center in Homer, Alaska, has its strengths and weaknesses, just like any other local shop. Most customers appreciate the friendly staff and solid inventory, especially during the weekly Tuesday restock. As dylan murphy pointed out, the store has a "pretty good selection" and offers decent prices. Shoppers often mention the diverse range of outdoor goods and books, making it a reliable stop for those in need of everyday items.
However, not everything is sunshine and rainbows. Some reviewers, like Urban Nomad, have expressed frustration about pricing, stating that certain items are "too expensive" and noting the unexpected tax on used items. Another reviewer, Michael Smith, felt "robbed" by the price of an old duffel bag, which adds to the perception that prices can be inconsistent and sometimes inflated. These recurring complaints about pricing can put a damper on an otherwise positive shopping experience.

Pretty good selection, solid prices. Not a lot of men's wear but they did have more outdoor goods than most spots, some sets of waders. Lots of books, friendly staff.
Great staff. Excellent service. Went in for a coat, found one for under $20. The cashier charged me $15 because he noticed a flaw in the coat. Exceptional service fs. A+ 10/10.
