Editor's Review
Forks County Line Stores, Inc., located in Middlebury, IN, has carved out a special niche in the hearts of locals and visitors alike. With an impressive overall rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars from 659 reviews, this locally owned grocery store seems to have struck the perfect balance between affordability and community spirit. It's heartwarming to see so many people express their lifelong ties to the store. As Shawna Whalen fondly reminisced, 'Since I was a little girl I have shopped at Forks... I will forever be a customer at Forks!' The nostalgia and familiarity that Forks brings to its patrons are palpable.
One standout feature that many customers rave about is the pricing. Shoppers are often left stunned at the incredible deals, like those mentioned by Paul, who noted, 'The prices are unbelievable...you literally cannot find food as cheap as some of the items at Forks.' It’s clear that shoppers who are looking to save on groceries will feel right at home here.
However, not everything is perfect. Some reviewers pointed out issues with stock and service. Jesly Roman raised concerns about overcharging, stating that she ended up paying about $15 more than expected due to a cashier’s mistake. While the service is generally praised, occasional hiccups like these can be frustrating. Additionally, Larry Waldron cautioned that some products may be past their expiration date. Though he found it an 'ok place to get stuff a lot cheaper,' this might not sit well with every shopper.

Found tons of amazing items here... kind of like a cross between a salvage store, an independent grocer, & a farmers market. It has a welcome feel, was very clean and organized, and the variety shocked me!
Its an ok place to get stuff a lot cheaper if you don't mind things being well past their expiration date. Otherwise, i wouldn't recommend this place.
